CONFESSION

OK, I admit it. I haven't used my blog at all. It was my idea - before I left Denmark last fall - that this would be the perfect way of keeping everyone at home updated. IT. WAS. NOT. 

Though it has been more than five months since I last took the time to write anything, I am gonna give it a go. In English. 

Everything has pretty much changed since I tried to tell a story last and this is also why it's just slightly difficult for me. Should I go ahead and update on everything that has happened? Challenge. I went with the family to New York in December and celebrated Christmas & New Years in Rye. IT WAS AMAZING. It's a cliche and it's true; I love NY. 

A couple of weeks after the return to California, I spoke with a far-away friend named Fernelly online at Facebook. I met Fernelly when we both were partying at Gefährlich in Copenhagen. I had just got my Visa & Permission to go to the US and he was travelling around Europe. Fernelly lives in Berlin at the moment, but is from Whittier - close to LA - and has introduced me to a lot of fantastic people here. I. AM. SO. GLAD. 

The reason why I am giving this blog a second try is that I've been thinking about my future studies. For a couple of years I've been convinced about becoming a journalist. There is a lot of different ways to get the education and lately I have come to think of studying here in Los Angeles. In many ways it would be more difficult for me, but I think it is an opportunity which I should think through. 1) I would have to apply for another visa, 'cause the one I have is a NATO. 2) Opposite to the Danish system, it costs money to go school (which means I would have to find a job). 3) I would have to find a place to live (again, money would have to be earned). 4) Family and friends back home would be missed even more. 5) & 6) & 7) & so on - I've got a lot to think about and one of the ways to free my mind is to write. It has been a long time since I really wrote anything other than short messages on FB or the phone. Furthermore, I wanted to see if it even would be possible for me to express a n y t h i n g in English. Maybe it sounds as though I'm really confused about this - which I definitely am - but on the other hand I am sure that I'll figure this out somehow.
